Exploring Balicasag Island

3rd Day of Tour: August 15, 2010 Bohol Sea Tour Adventure

The need to wake up at around 5am in the morning was never an issue to us, most especially if it means meeting the first sunlight of the day...♥

First activity in our itinerary for that day is dolphin watching...The more i look forward in seeing dolphins, the more i adore the heart of Bohol sea.

Finally!after waited patiently for almost an hour, dolphin's gregarious nature and acrobatic abilities is truly a jaw dropping experience. As usual, it didn't fail my expectations. No wonder why dolphins are the most loved marine mammals.
Intelligent, playful and friendly dolphins
This small island possesses a large marine life. And i'm so glad that i was able to witness some of those..♥
Snorkeling @ Balicasag Island... haha, my future... in fairness
Underwater pictures courtesy of the two wonderful ladies we met there.

Having trouble feeding the fish? Not really! Career kung career ang fish feeding... haha..

Who wouldn't be hungry after having intimate moment with water? And so we had a sumptuous lunch at Balicasag Island.

The island is rich of not only with water adventures, but of course, with tasteful meals too. I couldn't say if the price of food here is overboard, because our lunch is already included in the tour package that we have availed. Again, thanks to RJ Tours!

We'll definitely come back for more! ♥

Discovering the Beauty of Bohol

I know that most of you have been into this place, which makes me feel that I'm the only person on earth who haven't seen the beauty of this marvelous place. (Really?) But nevertheless, let me share with you my own experience in discovering the rich culture of what most of us considered the most famous tourist spot in the Philippines. The place which i thought i can only be seen in the HEKASI book during my elementary school days, now i can finally say that 'ive been there too'. (proud filipina)

This Bohol Tour is part of the 4-day travel we had last 2010. The first day of tour was Cebu City.

2nd day of Tour: August 14, 2010 Off to Bohol

From Cebu City, we landed at Tagbilaran Port via Supercat which is almost a 2-hour travel. Our craving and fascination for the place did not take long  for we we're able to meet our travel guide on time. Our first spot in our itinerary is the Blood Compact Shrine.

Of course, we will not let the day pass without taking a picture into one of the historical place in our country.
Beauty No. 1 The reflection of the first 'Treaty of Friendship' thru the bonding of every family/friends/people/ tourist/traveler/ in this particular 'Sandugo Shrine' where you can mirror our happiness and excitement; that one way or another we felt and became part of this historical place.

On our way to our second spot, we saw this scenic view.
It seems that i need to go back to this place just to get the exact location of this. hihi
We headed directly to Baclayon church afterwards.

As we have read in many travel blogs, shorts/sleeveless and any other revealing clothes are prohibited inside the church that is why we brought with us a more 'decent' clothes. (pantakip ba.hehe) But we weren't able to use it because the Manangs in the church already provided us with the tapis in exchange for a donation. Not a bad idea.
Please dont pay attention to our eyes. haha
Beauty No. 2 The church is so solemn and peaceful and possesses extravagant altar. Its a great pleasure that we were able to put our feet on the second oldest church in the Philippines which carries the Spanish past of the country.

Bohol tour would not be complete if you would not seen any single tarsier.
Philippine tarsier; So cute :-)
Beauty No. 3 Close encounter with the world's smallest primate. There are tarsier sanctuaries now where there is a recreational rainforest. Having said that, they can live in safety even if there are lots of tourist visiting them.

One of our much awaited activity in our entire Bohol tour is a Cruise on Loboc River.
While waiting for the cruise...
Finally, lunch time! They said, Loboc Cruise at night is more ravishing than morning cruise. We'll try next time..
Buffet @ Loboc Cruise
Beauty No. 4 Just appreciate the picturesque and the nature itself.

Pardon, for we were using point and shoot that time, nevertheless, i still and will enjoy the view :-)
Based on what i've read on most travel blogs, the least attractive spot in Bohol is the hanging bridge. But for me, i appreciate the wholeness of the place. Even if i'm not that 'yet' (take note, not yet) adventurous who would go on motorcross games or do the scuba diving thing or take chance on bungee jumping, i still relish the bamboo bridge. Its scary though, that is why we ended up walking a few feet away from the start of the bridge rather than crossing it. haha.. Again, there's always a next time diba :-)

Beauty No. 5 Take the challenge to cross the shaky, narrow and terrifying yet daring hanging bridge of Bohol
Beauty No. 6 Having the option and choice not to cross the hanging bridge. lolz

Beauty No. 7 Man-Made Mahogany Forest itself as fruit of the hardwork, perseverance and determination of the ever loyal Boholanos to become one the most attractive tourist spot in the country.

Showcasing our admiration to the place :-D
For butterfly enthusiast like me, this place would be considered home ♥

Beauty No. 8 A place called home

But the most beautiful part of this entire City Tour is the pride of not only the Boholanos but the entire Filipinos - the world's famous Bohol Chocolate Hills. I could perfectly remember how my teacher in elementary teaches us of what's so special about this Chocolate Hills - that during summer, the grass-covered hills turn chocolate brown as it dries up; that we have around thousands of individual mounds which seems an endless row of chocolate kisses.

'Class, this remarkable chocolate hills is included in the Seven Natural Wonders of the World'
Witness the signature jumpshot on the Hills

Our never ending jumpshot
Till our next trip :-)

Thanks to RJ Intano for helping us discover the beauty of bohol

Special Candles

Thank you to the four best friends I have ever known. Your special greetings made my day truly special, sincere and heartwarming. To you Chelle & Joyee; Joan & Mylene, thank you so much for always being there at my side. Our shared thoughts and insights made me who i am today.

I know things had been very rough for us. Our relationship is broken beyond repair. But that was then. My envisage is changed - Ruin is a gift. Ruin is a road to transformation. Rest assured that i'm always here no matter what, even it would mean heartbreak and pain...Loosing balance for love sometimes is part of living a balanced life. So, thank you Dad.
(Eat, Pray, Love)

The only thing permanent in life is family. Thanks to my two beautiful children, to my Mom, and to every member of the family. You are truly a God's gift to me.

I know all wishes do come true...most especially if it's your birthday...

One Tagaytay Date

Love is in the air...then.

When i think of spending my valentine's day with friends, i have nothing in my mind but Tagaytay City. Yes, that's how fanatic i am of this gorgeous city. Aside from the fact that its only a 30-40 mins drive from our place, Tagaytay is such a remarkable place for this city has a lot to offer, whether you go from a budget to grandest place(s).

This season, we choose to challenge ourselves by spending less than 1K (as inspired by other travel blogger) on this particular date rather than spending freely, then sooner realize that you already overspent. We list only two itinerary for this extraordinary day - Jardineros and One Tagaytay Place

Jardineros is known for their mesclun salad. As expected, they gave us a free taste salad dressing for us to decide which kind of salad to order.

Pesto dressing for me is way too much better than others. Nonetheless, we ordered vinaigrette salad as this is one of their best seller. If your're a fan of vinaigrette salad, you'll appreciate this one as much as I did.

We also ordered Spinach Pizza. For a pizza lover like me, I admire the taste and how mushroom and spinach and a bit of mozzarella cheese complements with each other and the freshness of this organic ingredients were absolutely perfect. It makes we wanting and craving for more. The only problem is that this serving for me isn't that great. =(

My two flamboyant dates, Joyee and Chelle

My Plate for a total of P143 (total expenses were divided into 3)

You may want to consider buying various organic vegetables, huge tomatoes for instance...

You may find Jardineros at the left side of the road going to Tagaytay.

The second place in our itinerary:-

We availed the Mongolian Buffet worth P350 per head.

Choices of beef, chicken, squid, fish, shrimp and others

Prepare your own dish with these different condiments

My First Mongolian Bowl (Please don't ask how many bowl i had that night..haha)

The buffet includes a one round drink (icetea or juice)

As for our dessert, Mangoe Crepe with Ice cream on top.

We finished the meal with this magnificent turon. The presentation was sumptuous in my sight. (Thanks Joyee for this this marvelous shot)

Witness the beauty of the place...

This eye catching spa advertisement would make you want to conclude the night by pampering yourself with a good massage. If there's any disadvantage of going on a budgeted date, this is to deprive yourself with a thing that you might do that same day, but rather not to. Patience is a virtue. And so a good spa for now is being lined - up for our next date.

You'll find One Tagaytay Place Hotel Suites at Barrio Sungay, Tagaytay City
Tel.Nos. (02)  584.4111
               (046) 483.0111
                0922.834.8874

And so, to sum up, here's the list of our less than 1K Valentine's day challenge:

@Jardineros -P143/pax
@One Tagaytay Place
       Mongolian Buffet - P350/pax
       Dessert - P140/pax
Total of P633/pax

Did i say deprived? Well, in this case, it's "satisfy". We satisfy ourselves with our love of our life, for our date would not be complete without this...
